Job Description

The GES (Geographic Enterprise Systems) Technical Leader is a local site role that on-boards prior to site GES start-up. During the critical path timeline the role executes readiness activities prior to the start-up date, including:
  • Providing start up technical support of the project
  • Developing process design requirements and documentation
  • Creating reports, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities
  • Hiring, on-boarding, and training mechanics during ramp-up period based on GES staffing estimates
  • Creating maintenance program to ensure system asset reliability
  • Creating parts procurement and inventory practices to support cost of ownership reductions
  • Aligning with business partners on action plans to implement/address and assess/adjust strategy as required to meet business needs and deliver continuous improvement
Post GES deployment the role baselines to running the day to day GES Service Center, with responsibilities including:
  • Resolving daily issues with GES pick center systems and operations
  • Ensuring on-time delivery through the execution of planned maintenance activities and prompt emergency responses
  • Ensuring leverage of AVANTIS for all maintenance activities and costs
  • Developing and executing mechanic skills assessment and training plans
  • Developing equipment reliability improvement model – Root cause and FRACAS (failure reporting and corrective action systems)
  • Planning and scheduling work (AM, PMs, Correctives, Improvements) with a high degree of customer involvement and collaboration
  • Leveraging Maintenance Metrics and results to drive improved system reliability


  • Internal or external experience with and an in-depth understanding of general maintenance and controls (PLC)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and assess business process impacts
  • Demonstrated experience in basic project management
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance management
  • Experience participating in National Reliability calls and providing project status updates, reliability updates, Root cause analysis on major failures, best practice ideas, and safety findings
  • Experience managing vendor system audits and creating action plans for corrections
