Purpose of the role:

As Control & Reporting Associate Manager you will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and sector reports, for a designate cluster of business units, ensure a team of accountants performs monthly closing activities in accordance with PepsiCo reporting rules and deliver base business priorities to sustain effective control environment. The role entails interaction with the business units’ control teams and outsourced delivery teams

Main accountabilities:

  • Manage the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, Income Statement, Balance Sheet and coordinate monthly HFM submission of Financial Statements for designated cluster of business units
  • Manage a team of US GAAP accountants to ensure accurate, on time preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual Corporate reports to Sector Control Team of designated cluster
  • Approve and ensure control completeness of journal entries, reconciliation, accruals, reserves to ensure the accuracy of financial statements during month end closing
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations monthly, identify and investigate all variances and ensure that they are resolved timely
  • Manage the delivery of Statutory Reporting support to the business units
  • Work with the functions to prepare Balance Sheet Review content
  • Support US GAAP and local audit with external auditors and communicate and manage deliverables
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis for internal customers
  • Provide daily technical accounting advice and policy guidance to business partners
  • Ensure timely communication of any issues to Krakow Control and Reporting Lead
  • Maintain financial controls by adhering to policies and procedures; ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
  • Support and provide input for corporate audits


  • Post qualified experience 8+ years
  • Strong communicator in English
  • Financial technical skills achieved through experience and accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project); ability to create complex formulas in Excel
  • Knowledge of Financial Reporting Systems and Databases (e.g.,SAP/ Oracle)
  • Knowledge of the US GAAP reporting tool (HFM and automation like FDM) preferable
  • Ability to integrate well within a team environment, action and result oriented, attentive to deadlines
  • Exhibit a strong ‘can-do’, ‘will-do’ attitude and strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
  • Intellectual capacity to link accounting concepts to underlying financial data systems in order to understand, analyse and interpret actual results and troubleshoot any issues with the data
  • Communication skills to provide clearly articulated and appropriate messages across other GBS teams, business unit teams and outsourced delivery centers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
