Job Description

  • Complete period, quarterly and annual close processes that relate to the Financial Statements for the PepsiCo Headquarter reporting entity
  • Responsible for overseeing the PepsiCo Corporate Headquarter (HQ) SAP General Ledger close; including review of journal entries, account analyses, Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow Statement
  • Responsible for the review of the HFM schedule submissions due to the Consolidation Group, relating to the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement
  • Accounting and reporting of PepsiCo issued debt and related swaps
  • Prepare lease accounting journal entries and ensure proper reporting of leases
  • Responsible for the review of Intercompany cross charges and account reconciliations
  • Review the tax provision, deferred tax provision and the FAS109 schedules
  • Review bank account reconciliation’s prepared by the staff accountant
  • Prepare the P&L Flash report and analysis and submit it to the External Reporting Group
  • Review Intercompany related Treasury funding memos
  • Perform annual investment impairment reviews and the associated memos
  • Review and prepare various governmental reporting schedules
  • Prepare Cash Flow Forecast and Plan data for certain accounts
  • Address ad hoc data requests and questions as they arise
  • Ensure that all SOX control documentation, testing and reporting requirements are in compliance and are completed timely and accurately
  • Management of various special reporting projects assigned to the team ensuring timely completion

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA
Work experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting/financial reporting

Additional Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Big 4 accounting experience
  • Experience in both public and private sectors
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • SAP GL
  • HFM reporting
  • SOX
