Job Description

This role is for a CTO Associate Specialist on the Corporate Finance IT team supporting Granular Product Reporting (GPR) and Brand Profit & Loss Reporting (BP&L). This role will provide you with a rewarding opportunity for personal and professional growth supporting year-over-year sales reporting for Corporate Finance.

In this role, you will partner with multiple teams including a direct partnership with the business as well as other IT groups such as Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). As an Associate Specialist, you will be in a lead role supporting and growing these global programs.

  • Partner with Corporate, Sector, and Market teams to support critical analytics related to financial reporting
  • Lead sustain and governance activities for deployed Brand P&L and GPR including troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Lead financial quarter-end reconciliation working closely with the business and technical teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Define, analyze, vet new business requirements against our solution and recommend IT solutions that are consistent with our business processes and global standards
  • Improve tools and day-to-day processes we follow as a team
  • Teach and KT current solutions to peers and business partners

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Skills / Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • 2+ years of experience in Materials and Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Sales Reporting
  • 2+ years of detailed data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis experience
  • Must be a strong team player with effective teamwork skills
  • Provides training and mentoring to less experienced team members
  • Sees and coaches others on connections between data and process
  • Leverages cooperative relationships to address complex business data issues
  • Handles day-to-day issues within the work team
  • Building executive presence (i.e., able to explain how arrived at decision process.)
  • Fully understand data, systems, and end to end business processes within multiple functional areas
  • In-depth understanding of Pepsi Co products, services, business processes and business function directly related to the functional area
  • Understands business strategy and is beginning to assess business impact when evaluating data solutions
Differentiating Competencies:
  • Proactively analyze data to increase quality as it relates to accuracy, completeness, consistency, integrity, timeliness, conformity, and validity; Verify the accuracy of data in functional area and for integration/project activities
  • Able to conduct root cause analysis
  • For simple to medium complexity analytical tasks, able to analyze without direction and identifying the relationships between those parts of the information. For highly complex analytical tasks, able to do this analysis methodically with some direction
  • Incorporate the broad picture to foresee potential impacts of system or project issues taking appropriate action to resolve
  • Able to see connections between data and process and can make suggestions when resolving issues and changes
  • Proactively collaborates with end-users and team members in supporting existing business processes and applications; identify and recommend process improvements
  • Interface with business partners as an expert in explaining and relating how data impacts their business function

  • Proactively identify and manage escalation of potential issues, offering ideas for solutions

  • Take ownership of critical path tasks and prioritize work of self and others to deliver results within agreed upon deadline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences
  • Partnership with multiple businesses and IT teams to obtain buy-in and approvals for solutions
  • Teradata and SQL experience a plus
  • Business Objects experience a plus
