Here’s a list of responsibilities and duties for the National Reliability and Asset Management Senior Manager:

  • Lead National Reliability and Asset Management Team to ensure the reliability and maintainability of existing and new plant equipment. The National Reliability and Asset Management Manager is responsible for understanding, coaching, and implementing National Asset Reliability Model, building total cost of ownership models for manufacturing, and improvement overall unplanned downtime
  • Manage Reliability and Asset Managers to develop and implement strategies for packaging, processing, and warehousing to include parts, equipment tasks, training, and long-term maintainability
  • Develop, Design, Implement, and Execute a manufacturing & warehouse equipment strategy to deliver world class equipment downtime/stops performance (at <2% downtime). Ability to procure resources and talent needed to deliver sustainable business results
  • Execute a Make/Warehouse equipment Asset management strategy linked to CAPEX investment/execution to deliver world class equipment operational performance at 90% asset utilization.
  • Partner with Engineering to design Make equipment to enable the equipment to operate at 90% asset utilization year-round at world class uptime efficiencies
  • Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical OEM suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops National Training programs for all new automation equipment, an develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria the maintenance organization
  • Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications
  • Develop National Spare Parts / critical spare part equipment strategy
  • Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes:
    • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
    • Dynamic PM implantation and execution
    • Effective utilization of predictive and other testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Develops reliability / engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
  • Data analysis techniques that can include:
    • Statistical Process Control
    • Reliability modeling and prediction
    • Fault Tree Analysis
    • Six Sigma – Kaizen Leader / Green Belt a plus
    • SQL data analysis
  • Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
  • Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
  • Works with Maintenance / Production Teams to perform analysis of assets including:
    • Asset Utilization
    • Overall Equipment Effectiveness
    • Remaining useful life
    • Total Cost of Ownership for critical equipment
    • Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
    • Understanding of CMMS System - Avantis
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel
  • Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions
  • Responsible for developing action plans to improve total unplanned downtime at selected Performance Focus Sites
  • 40% travel required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or supply chain
  • 7+ years’ experience in field manufacturing or engineering
  • Experience with annual planning cycles and financial budgeting, planning and tracking/reporting.
  • Ability to generate impactful insights through in-depth analysis of internal and external data (“outside-in thinking”) that drive new business strategies
  • Ability to develop and collaboratively link key FLNA strategies and priorities to ensure alignment across the organization, based on an enterprise and multi-year perspective
  • Highly organized and can prioritize multiple complex tasks
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent analytical and communications skills and ability to translate ideas into graphical or visual form for effective communication
  • Clear, effective verbal communication skill- ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Working knowledge of Global Brain, SharePoint, MS Teams is a plus
