Job Description

1. Take ownership in preparing a number of reconciliations (Swissco related, statutory, payroll, BS accounts,…).
2. Assist in performing cyclical application controls
3. Perform Swissco controls to safeguard correct application of our tax model (NL&BE)
4. Perform declaration of other taxes not outsourced.
5. Be backup for Pension and CIT accounting (NL)
6. Perform some annual reporting requirements, such as Tax Data Collection Packages (for US tax), BEPS13 reporting
7. Actively participate in KPMG audits (BE & NL).
8. Take (proportional) ownership in ad hoc projects (NL&BE)
1. Take ownership in preparing a number of reconciliations (Swissco related, statutory, payroll, BS accounts,…).
2. Assist in performing cyclical application controls, i.e. checking if existing excel calculation files, used for analysis and accrual posting, are still up to date and covering current scope of activity. This also includes annual check of customs documentation (for ecotax and excises declarations) and validation of VAT numbers for customers and vendors.
3. Perform Swissco controls to safeguard correct application of our tax model (NL&BE), i.e. Swissco checklist and Swissco Risk assessment and implement possible improvements
4. Perform declaration of other taxes not outsourced, e.g. Verpakkingsbelasting, Kansspelbelasting and other taxes (BNL)
5. Be backup for Pension accounting: in Netherlands we have a defined benefit Pensions scheme. Be back-up for Statutory and USGAAP accounting. Also backup for Corporate income tax (CIT) accounting and reporting (FAS109) (BNL)
6. Perform some annual reporting requirements, such as Tax Data Collection Packages (for US tax), BEPS13 reporting for NL entities (Local file and CBCR reporting), FLTC(E) statutory input.
7. Actively participate in KPMG audits (BE & NL).
8. Control projects: wide range of activities (NL&BE): e.g. annual Service Level Agreements review, review of VAT and other instructions to SSC, Annual Cash Mobilization (dividends, loans), …

Qualifications/Requirements

Education and work experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Solid 5 years of experience in international environment
- Solid experience in statutory accounting and taxes (corporate income taxes and other taxes) is an asset.
Knowledge and skills:
- Strong general accounting skills is a must
- Statutory reporting
- Strong fiscal skills would be an asset (corporate income taxes, sound knowledge of VAT & Intrastat, other taxes like Verpakkingsbelasting, Emissierechten, Kansspelbelasting, …)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work closely together with SSC(Shared Services Center) in Poland/India
- Strong functional communication skills
- Flexibility and proactivity
- Computer literacy: Good excel knowledge (e.g. pivots) is a must. SAP and HFM would be an asset.
- Process thinking
- Fluency in English and Dutch is a must.
Very strong accounting skills and overall strong in different Tax area’s (Corp Income tax, VAT, intrastat and all other taxes). And being able to work in a SSC context.
