Hunger is often not a problem of food scarcity, but rather one of logistics. To address this challenge, Food for Good (FFG) works with non-profit partners to identify and implement cost-effective and efficient solutions to reach those in need. FFG is the signature nutrition operation of the PepsiCo Foundation and critical to its mission of helping alleviate hunger around the world.

As a Driver Manager, you will provide overall city leadership for Food For Good, including supervising all of Food for Good's meal team daily operations. In this role, you will supervise packers and warehouse team members to ensure accurate, on-time daily deliveries of fresh meals to community locations. As the supervisor of the meal team, you ensure quality, accuracy, on-time fresh meals are prepared to be delivered to the Austin community.

Daily duties:

  1. Supervise the meal packing and warehouse staff to ensure efficient inventory management with minimal waste
  2. Support hiring of packing, warehouse staff
  3. Lead the daily interaction with nonprofit partners including customer service, orders, and inventory management
  4. Deliver overall annual performance within the city budget
  5. Deliver key operational metrics, including packing/warehouse/ meal costs, Provide overall leadership for FFG meal team, including for field staff and local nonprofit, supplier and operational partners
  6. Supervise all of Food for Good’s daily packing/warehouse team operations
  7. Support Delivery Driver Supervisor to ensure accurate, on-time daily deliveries of fresh meals to community locations
  8. Supervise the meal packing and warehouse staff to ensure efficient inventory management with minimal waste
  9. Support the hiring of packing and warehouse
  10. Lead the daily interaction with nonprofit partners including customer service, orders, and inventory management
  11. Deliver overall annual performance within the city budget
  12. Deliver on key operational metrics, including packing/warehouse/delivery labor and meal costs

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma
Job Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience of leading a warehouse and/or delivery driver staff
  • Experience delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience managing suppliers and inventory accurately and with minimal waste
  • Experience with fleet and basic facilities management
  • Preferred to have a Class B license or higher (e.g., Class A, CDL)
  • Strong relational, collaborative, and communication skills
  • Willingness to embrace ambiguity and a dynamic environment
  • Positive, highly-motivated, problem-solving attitude
  • Detail orientation
  • Effective time management and strong prioritization skills
  • Willingness to accommodate a flexible schedule that varies with seasonal duties
  • Functional PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
