Duties: Deliver leading edge analytics and insights capabilities to enable commercial teams including Shopper Marketing, Category Leadership and Sales. Work with IT to build and maintain an ecosystem of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party datasets in a big data infrastructure. Develop algorithms for rapid data discovery and prototyping, and help design a closed loop measurement system. Work with internal and external vendors to develop and maintain a Business Intelligence platform that will allow marketers to develop consumer/shopper targets for activation. Identify relationship and trends in shopper, sales, store data that could impact on business strategy making. Provide appropriate statistical method to solve business question. e.g. whether new promotion program will improve sales of product. Bring insight to business team based on statistical and nonstatistical analysis using Tableau files during team meetings. Export Modeling or statistical results to Tableau/PowerBI files including graphs, charts and tables. Design Maching Learning/Deep Learning models based on historical data to solve business question and bring them actionable solution, e.g. forecasting sales of product on store level by using historical data. Manipulate big data including sales, shopper, store, weather data to build statistical/ Machine Learning models by using cloud computation platform. Solve specific business questions from Marketing/Media/E-comm by statistical methods, e.g. customized assortment for each store. Evaluate data quality, applicability or accuracy to see if it is valuable for generating insight including modeling, business reports or User Interface. Develop novel analytical methods for business needs, e.g. store prioritization (assorted store list based on sales and shopper profiling information), national clustering (customized assortment), or media activation (accurate shopper targeting). Collect data based on specific project or model need and determine data types and size for modeling. Supervise and provide instruction for IT refreshing, adding new data source of shopper/sales every quarter/week.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics or related and five (5) years of machine learning experience including data ingestion, cleaning, model building, testing and deployment. Must have (5) years of experience with: statistics, machine learning, information retrieval, and graph analysis; management and manipulation of large data sets; developing and deploying analytical tools and data science techniques to analyze big and disparate data; developing custom models or algorithms used to uncover trends, patterns, and insights in the data resulting in prescriptive actions; statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning; management and manipulation of big data sets with computed platforms or database (including MapReduce Hadoop, hBase, Hive, SQL or other open source big data query tools); Modeling and Programming using various software packages, including Python and R; Big Data or Cloud Technology Platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud; and statistical programming tools, including Python, R, and SAS. Must have two (2) years of experience with visualization tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and ggplot. Must have one (1) year of experience with deep learning, including Tensorflow, Keras, and Pytorch. Position requires travel up to 15% of the time.
