Job Description

The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Policy is primarily responsible for the global coordination of the Sarbanes-Oxley controls reporting and the PepsiCo Global Control Standard. This role is also responsible for oversight of KPMG fees and leads the coordination of the reporting from compliance and ethics with the control teams. More specific responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Ensure all SOX global workstreams are complete
  • Review consolidated global SOX results and review summary for the Disclosure Committee
  • Coordinate SOX reporting with KPMG
  • Ensure proper implementation of any new controls
  • Implement and maintain portal for collection of global control standards
  • Ensure adherence to PepsiCo global control standards
  • Monitor PCAOB activity
  • Review reporting of Corporate Audit recommendations in the Corporate pre-close
  • Lead related party reporting
  • Review and coordinate reporting of KPMG fees
  • Oversee auditor independence criteria
  • Coordinate compliance and ethics potentially significant violations with both legal and the sector controllers
The role is also required to:
  • Be responsible for 1 team member
  • Coach, develop, and mentor associate
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Divisions, KPMG and Legal to ensure effective communication and processes
  • Demonstrate external perspective, including contacts with peer companies, Big 4 firms, FEI, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA
  • 8-10 years relevant financial accounting/reporting experience
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and PCAOB standards
  • Masters in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Public accounting experience with Big 4 firm
