This is a Location Flexible role with AMESA. The incumbent selected for the role will continue to be based out of their current location. Preferred location is: Egypt.

This is a key role within AMESA’s Commercialization function that is responsible for driving the AMESA Innovation & Commercialization Capability & Analytics agenda
The role will support the AMESA Foods Category, Capability & Analytics lead on both the:
Capability agenda, working with the Commercialization Leadership Team, cross-functional senior stakeholders and the Global Commercialization function to ensure Commercialization teams and cross-functional teams, where necessary, are equipped with the toolkits and skills required to be successful in commercializing the PepsiCo Innovation agenda. This is particularly important given the function’s start-up nature across AMESA
Analytics agenda including financial analysis and reporting, insights and project data management
The role will work across all categories and all BUs in AMESA and will have significant interactions with the Category & BU Commercialization teams, Commercial Finance and Global Capability & Analytics teams

Key accountabilities for the role include:
Capability agenda:

  • Support the development & roll-out of the functional capability agenda across Categories and BUs, leveraging global best practices (tools, processes) – critical in light of function start-up
  • Drive the BUs and Categories capability assessment, priorities identification and action plan design and mobilization
  • Develop and deliver specific capability training programs across AMESA for the function and outside of the function as required, ensuring consistency in application across Categories and BUs e.g. Speed to Market 2.0, best in class pre- and post-launch innovation tracking
  • Act as owner for overall Innovation Stage Gate & Accolade processes, with responsibility for ad hoc training and day-to-day support of AMESA Commercialization / cross-functional teams, global point of contact on any ad hoc requests related to these systems e.g. design changes
  • Establish and maintain functional communications channels e.g. MS Teams, Yammer, SharePoint
  • Help run key Commercialization Senior Management meetings including Sector Commercialization Leadership Team & Town Hall meetings
  • Key docking point for Global Capability team
Analytics agenda:
  • Develop & deliver Sector & BU innovation pipeline analysis including high quality regular insights and reporting to support the Foods & Beverages Category growth agendas
  • Drive monthly reporting & analysis of innovation KPIs & metrics to inform stakeholders of the size, shape, readiness & performance of the category’s innovation portfolio & key projects
  • Perform deep dive analytics to support specific project-based needs (e.g. category prioritization & resourcing decision support, speed-to-market assessments, etc.)
  • Coordinate Beverages & Foods Innovation portfolio assessment & analysis to guide annual AOP processes
  • Drive use and understanding of the innovation data standards, processes, tools (Accolade & Tableau analysis software)
  • Support deployment of new reporting & analytics capabilities (e.g. Tableau Server) including communication, training & regional support
  • Ensure sector consistency of project data in Accolade to enable accurate reporting. Gather and review data for accuracy; identify outliers and validate data
  • Identify opportunities to improve innovation data accuracy based on best practices and data audits
  • Key docking point for Global Analytics team

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Skills/Experience Required

  • High level of business acumen, must be commercially savvy with strong analytical and project management skills
  • Effective communicator with people of all levels and functions in the organization
  • Ability to see (& sell) the “big picture” while ensuring attention to (important) detail
  • A strong self-starter, comfortable setting and delivering a transformation agenda from scratch
  • High level of executive maturity (as role will interact with senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies in a matrix environment). Will need to manage ambiguity in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
  • Technically savvy a must – strong capability in Excel critical
  • Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years’ experience
