PepsiCo is a leading food and beverage company in Europe, with presence across many complex markets where we have a broad range of categories and products. This very successful business is launching a multi-year business transformation program which is relying on an SAP S4 backbone and other integrated strategic solutions being rolled out.

The purpose of this role is to support the implementation and deployment of the General Ledger and Accounts Payable, including Taxes, Banking, and integration with rest of the areas within the Finance capabilities of PepsiCo’s Global template (built through SAP S4 concepts). Objectives of the role are to ensure that the Global Template supports the execution of business processes related to Finance (Financial accounting which is relevant both locally and globally and the related deployments to multiple countries. This role will adopt and adhere to Agile principles for the Global Template project.

Our first program deployment is focusing on our UK and Poland business units with a project office near London, while our teams are based across multiple hubs around Europe and the World.

Relationship & Accountabilities

  • Reports to the IT Finance Lead

  • Partner with Finance IT and Business Leads & Sub leads to deliver the integrated solutions

  • Partners with external vendors and partners.

  • Partners and closely collaborates with other IT Functional roles across functional areas.

  • Partner with Functional teams of respective areas to design the integration with relevant Legacy systems

  • Partner with Developer team to clarify and build integrated solutions

  • Partner with the PTP & OTC Solution experts to implement and deploy the end-to-end solution

  • Support decision-making for Finance localization of functionality in the Global Template during deployment

  • Ensure that the Global Template deployment supports the execution of business processes related to Finance in general (excluding Cost Accounting, Revenue and Profitability Management) and the related deployments to multiple countries, following the best practices.

  • Ensure PepsiCo Corporate Accounting policies related to Financial and Controls reporting reflected in the global template are implemented to standard with appropriate localization

  • Collaborate with the Finance Global Process Leads and Global SMEs to implement and deploy the Global Template

  • Actively engage and educate business process owners on solution optimization, simplification and standardization capabilities

  • Ensure global lift and shift opportunities are deployed across the sectors

  • Collaborate with all scrum teams to implement and deploy the end-to-end Global ERP solution leveraging agile methodology

  • Work closely and collaborate with onshore and offshore scrum team members to ensure a prioritized and sufficient product backlog for the teams to work against

  • Participate in key Sprint planning, retrospectives and other key ceremonies

  • Along with scrum team identify, monitor and implement key agreed-upon improvements

  • Adopt and adhere to Agile principles and values

Qualifications/Requirements

The ideal candidate has a good domain of the following areas of SAP (ideally with S/4 HANA):

  • General ledger accounting:

    • Parallel accounting, month-end reporting, group reporting, period end closing activities, etc.

  • Accounts Payable:

    • Good knowledge in Integration with Procurement (Direct/Indirect).

    • Auto-settlement invoicing.

    • SAP VIM and OpenText experience is a plus.

  • Banking:

    • Integration with banks and process expertise for Credit transfers, debit transfers and bank statement processing.

  • Fixed asset accounting:

    • Multi-ledger and currency charts of depreciation with different group and statutory accounting principles

  • Taxes:

    • Input/output tax determination in sales and procurement flows (ideally in complex chain EU transactions)

    • Indirect tax reporting (VAT returns, EC Sales list, Standard Audit File, etc.).

​Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred from reputed institutions.

  • 8+ years of experience configuring, deploying and managing SAP ERP with a focus on the FI modules of SAP including General ledger accounting, Accounts payable, Taxes, Banking and Fixed Assets

  • 2+ years of SAP S4 experience preferred.

  • Deep and broad experience in General Ledger within a global capability

  • Previous key contributor role on a major SAP transformation project

  • Collaborates in business process standardization of the business processes and ensuring that the configured system conforms to the Global Template approach while meeting the needs of the business.

  • Experience in CPG industry preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP Solman 7+, Azure DevOps, HP Quality Center and O365 tools

  • Solves complex problems within their work team

  • Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across value streams

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences

  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change

  • Consulting background

  • Travel required up to an 80%
