Job Description

The overarching role of Commercialization is to enable PepsiCo to deliver sustained growth via the flawless execution of ‘Fewer, Bigger, Better, Faster’ innovation.
Accountable for enabling the growth agenda by transforming the capability to build and commercialize the Beverages pipeline and building operational excellence in the BUs (Asia, China Beverages, ANZ). The role will lead a team across the Sector to deliver the BU Innovation agendas and KPIs, focusing on overall governance of the Category Hopper / Pipeline, ensuring multi-market leverage, forward compatibility, rapid roll-out and flawless execution of innovations.

Accountability

  • Responsible for the Beverages Innovation Hopper / Pipeline Portfolio Management across the BUs and driving pipeline quality through leveraging a deep understanding of pipeline health, risks, resources, unlocks and trade-offs required to deliver the business targets and ensure the right innovation portfolio choices are made to drive simplification and leverage
  • Own Portfolio Analysis & Reporting for Beverages, systematically assess & report Innovation health & performance as part of annual Innovation processes, ensuring flawless execution vs KPIs (business & process) to drive change and continuous improvement e.g. NR vs plan, NR/project, Speed to Market, on-time execution etc
  • Partner with the APAC Commercialization Capability & Analytics lead to develop & embed Best In Class Innovation & Commercialization Capability for Beverages across the Sector (processes, scorecards), driving agility, simplification and speed-to-market and ensuring consistency with Global & Sector best practice
  • Manage a team of BU Commercialization Managers and support them to deliver their respective BU agendas, play a key role in helping influence and align stakeholders
  • Deliver world class program/project management with a specific focus on:
    • Driving Beverages Lift & Scale programs, owning end-to-end unlocks and program management
    • Leading ‘Create’ for multi-market innovations where forward compatibility is require
  • Act as the key docking point for the Global Beverages Group Commercialization team and global initiatives including the Plastics agenda

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Commercial, Engineering, Financial or related disciplines, 12+ years experience
  • Deep knowledge of how to develop and launch FMCG innovations, including consumer ideation and Insights processes through to Make/Move/Sell capability
  • Results-oriented with a high degree of personal initiative and leadership – can operate well within a low resource, fast-paced cross-functional environment
  • Very high level of business acumen - must be commercially & organizationally savvy and financially astute
  • Exceptional team leader with strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to influence at all levels and comfortable managing conflict
  • Capability builder - ability to build teams from scratch & empower diverse cross-functional project teams
  • Proven commercial project leadership/management skills, ability to manage complex functional interdependencies in project timelines
  • Strong process thinker committed to driving process efficiency, strength in data analysis and interpretation in order to develop business recommendations
