The Associate Manager, Supply Chain Innovation will be part of a dynamic team leading and delivering flawless execution of the Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) innovation agenda. We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands. We are a global organization, situated in 17 locations across 11 countries offering careers in various functions from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR and IT. The Commercialization team are accountable for the careful coordination of new products coming through the concentrate manufacturing sites. The team works with our global plants, Business units and Research and Development to ensure flawless supply execution for PepsiCo.

You will have the opportunity to work across many functions and geographies designing & executing sustainable Supply Chain models which will speedily bring ideas to life.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Fully Accountable for the successful execution of PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solution’s (PGCS) contribution to the Beverage Innovation Process for PBNA Sector. This includes:
    • Portfolio Pipeline Prioritization & Communication
    • Supply Chain Design
    • End 2 End project management within the PGCS Innovation process from Project Initiation to Commercialization to Execution
  • PGCS Lead to support Regional Innovation IGP/Long term innovation planning and insights, in order to ensure Supply Chain considerations and risks are embedded into these plans
  • Lead advance Innovation planning through PGCS at a functional and plant level – e.g. what are the products we’re launching in 2 years and how do we ensure we have the capability to launch
  • PGCS Customer Relationship Lead to resolve all innovation-related issues – either directly or through leverage of resources within PGCS
  • PGCS lead and participant in Regional Stage-Gate Process ensuring early visibility back to PGCS stakeholders while also managing the sector expectations and influencing their decisions to ensure a successful launch
  • Responsible for initial input/feed of regional innovation projects into eICE and update through Stage-Gate
  • Develop the upfront Supply Chain design for complex innovation which will deliver all concentrate and essential ingredients to the bottling location for conversion into a finished product. This process should include:
    • Early engagement with R&D at the product development stage to influence the product design which will help optimize the Supply Chain, reduce Supply Chain risk and minimize the introduction of new ingredients or formula
    • Identify and agree on project targets – launch timing, product cost targets, volumes, etc.
    • Identify which stakeholder will be responsible for the execution of the Supply Chain for each product component
    • Leverage appropriate skills to solve for Supply Chain issues such as product labelling, regulatory, logistics, tax sign off, etc.
    • Utilization of workflow-based project management tools to ensure Supply Chain design and project will be executed on the target
    • Preparation of final product Supply Chain design with roles and accountabilities for each stakeholder – agreed and handed over for execution
    • Oversee the development of a fully-loaded costing for the product
  • Support the outsourcing decision-making process for PGCS as part of appropriate product launch models (Facilitate / Manage / Make)
  • Support appropriate KPI’s and reports to manage
  • Develop strong relationships with project stakeholders at all levels in the organization while operating in a virtual and matrix environment
  • Where applicable, partner with M&A and the Regions to identify and execute the concentrate integration opportunities that emerge as part of the acquisition of Beverage businesses by PepsiCo or changes to the existing operating model in that region
  • Influence innovation calendar in order to support optimal innovation success across the AOP


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required/Advanced Degree Preferred with 5 years experience in a relevant Supply Chain discipline/product commercialization equivalent
  • Strong Project Management capabilities
  • Possess excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, enabling them to get things done both up and across the organization
  • Proven ability to manage business complexity and manage multiple priorities
  • Possess a proactive and self-motivated learning style
  • Ability to influence and align teams in a matrix and virtual environment
  • An innovative approach to design and problem solving
  • A tenacious executor with a proven track record of managing change and achieving strong results
