Main Purpose

PepsiCo eCommerce Team (Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa) is looking for a Pureplay Marketing Manager to manage the eCommerce marketing agenda for Amazon (multimarket across Europe) and Ocado (UK); and curate, define & share best practices with eCommerce teams across ESSA. As a member of the eCommerce marketing team, this person will be responsible for helping develop the plans and programs necessary to help meet sales and share targets across all brands (e.g. Walkers, Tropicana, Doritos, Quaker, etc.). Successful performance in the role is measured by a combination of sales growth, marketing performance and efficiency of marketing spend.

More specifically;

  • Drive significant growth to meet sales targets, while maintaining/improving overall marketing performance and efficiency
  • Partner with eCommerce account lead to prioritize and plan marketing activities on Amazon and Ocado platforms
  • Responsible for planning and executing a solid performance marketing approach on Amazon marketing platforms across ESSA markets – both AMS & AMG working cross functionally where required.
  • Ownership of Amazon AMS on emerging accounts (,, and, planning, optimising and managing budget to drive sales & ROAS
  • Find ways to leverage marketing tactics to both increase the number of online Food and Beverage buyers as well as to increase purchasing for existing buyers
  • Leverage US market learnings to establish a solid performance marketing approach - working closely with UK Digital marketing team & agencies as required
  • Partner with existing brand digital marketing teams to enhance collective spend & approach to drive shared KPIs around engagement & transaction
  • Be part of overall digital media planning across pureplay customers ensuring alignment & continuous optimisation & best practise to drive performance
  • Create and activate business driving opportunities at brand, category, and total PepsiCo portfolio level
  • Work closely with existing shopper & brand marketing teams to develop breakout eCommerce marketing activity
  • Continually monitor, evaluate & recommend new innovations and opportunities on customers’ platforms – keeping all relevant parties up to date with latest developments



  • Experience in owning/managing eCommerce marketing, expert knowledge of AMS, AMG and merchandising opportunities on Amazon platform.
  • Strong analytical skills – able to establish relevant KPIs & commercial goals,
  • Experience establishing & developing performance / eCommerce marketing approaches for leading brands or retailers,
  • Excellent collaboration skills – this is a cross functional role within the eCommerce team and the wider sales & marketing organisations,
  • Solid project management skills – ability to co-ordinate several diverse stakeholders / and to manage performance of external suppliers,
  • Effective communication skills – accurately identifies the role of different stakeholders & tailors communication messages & style accordingly,
  • Challenge & Influencing Skills – experienced & effective at influencing and challenging senior internal stakeholders and agencies,
  • Strong presentation skills – comfortable presenting internally / externally to all levels,
  • Good attention to detail and ability to spot potential problems and plan to avoid them in advance,
  • Flexible and responsive approach, prepared to discover new solutions to new challenges as they arise and remain tenacious in achieving the required result
