The Role

The Associate Finance Manager – Supply Chain Manufacturing, is responsible for providing Financial Leadership to Frito Lay’s operations teams. The role works closely with cross functional partners in operations to meet both short term and long term key performance measures in the areas of cost, quality, and safety.
The role will provide support to the Operations VP and Frito-Lay Supply Chain team as well as provide coaching/support to the Field Operations Teams and the Operations Finance team.

What you’ll be working on:

Period Close / Forecast

  • Lead the Manufacturing period close results versus forecast, plan & year ago and to provide commentary, analysis & insights to drive business results
  • Collaborate with Controller's team on process/accruals
  • Lead manufacturing period & quarterly forecasts
  • Lead the forecast accuracy tracking & work with Planning Managers to improve accuracy
  • Lead the Inventory adjustment analysis and forecast
  • Ad hoc analysis to facilitate timely decision making to support business performance
Annual Operating Plan
  • Supporting Finance Manager with the Annual Operating Plan by providing historical trend analysis, benchmarking analysis
  • Lead efficiency analysis by site, manufacturing overhead build, labour rates and Non-standards
  • Collaborate with Performance finance, planning managers, cost accounting and product supply
  • Lead the financial analysis of COMM including Potato solids analysis
  • Lead GL uploads to financial system and reconciliation
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure accuracy of price book
Standard Cost
  • Collaborate with R&D to develop Product formulas & standard cost review process
  • Develop Packaging and processing labour standard
  • Collaborate with Purchasing team to maintain impact COMM and manufacturing performance
  • Maintain standard cost base
Grow Revenue / Innovation
  • Work closely with Category Finance and R&D to build innovation manufacturing cost cards by sku
  • Support productivity initiatives to deliver AOP
  • Manage performance and lead the development of the Manufacturing Finance Analyst

  • Ad hoc projects / assignments


Who’s a good fit for the team:

  • Commerce or Engineering Degree
  • MBA or Accounting designation preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast pace environment and under minimal supervision
  • Computer skills: Essbase, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Oracle, SAP
  • French Bilingual a definite asset
  • Demonstrated results as a leader in a work, school or extracurricular setting
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Experience in Supply Chain an asset
  • People management experience an asset
  • Experience implementing new systems and processes
