Job Description

We are looking for a passionate media expert to govern & partner on our media effectiveness measurement insights, reporting and analytics with our brand marketing, insights and media teams across Europe. They will act as one team to enrich our media effectiveness program and enable focus on consumer centric media. This is a very exciting and critical role in our Media Insights & Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) team and it covers all media touchpoints - AV, Digital, OOH and others.

About Media Insights and the role

Media Insights & Analytics CoE have been established to build our brands, optimize PepsiCo’s media investment and drive Media thought leadership in the company. Media Insights CoE is a part of the bigger Insights CoE group that continuously evolves to drive and map out key Insights focus areas of the future.
This role acts as an internal consultant who governs and coordinates our vast media effectiveness measurement program across Europe, guides the company on coverage of the “white space” markets with no prior measurement. The person will stay hungry for new knowledge and new research techniques and will also play a critical role in ensuring governance principles on the media measurement capabilities in the company.

He or she will become an expert in the current media landscape, available media measurement data and capabilities across key Europe markets (priorities are Russia, Turkey, UK) and fundamental quantitative research methods (e.g. marketing mix modelling). The person will also facilitate implementation of the media effectiveness and ROI insights in the key business processes and influence critical decision making and senior stakeholders

The role reports into the Head of Media Insights and Analytics and works closely with the colleagues in Insights in the local markets, Marketing teams, Media operations; acts as a key point of contact for research agencies, media agencies, think tanks, media owners and data providers.

The job location is a mix of London and Reading where the Europe headquarters are located. The person would need to be in the Reading office up to 2 days a week.

Qualifications/Requirements

What are we looking for?
This is an ESSA CoE role and CoE roles are very stretching from a leadership and impact perspective, as they have a diverse and very senior set of stakeholders in a complex matrix environment. The “how” of this role is just as important as the “what” and hence we are targeting a demanding leadership profile.

  • 8+ years of relevant client side or the research agency experience combined with in-house exposure

  • Strong analytical acumen and quantitative skills including basic statistics

  • Ability to frame problems smartly and define agenda from a relatively loose brief

  • Focus on the critical issues and actionable growth opportunities with business acumen and commercial savviness

  • Significant executive maturity to influence multiple stakeholders

  • Proactivity, drive and ability to inspire others to embrace change on a large scale

  • Strong project management and organization skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to synthesize & persuasively communicate highly complex findings

  • Experience in handling and analysing quantitative data including large data sets (gained by degree or relevant work experience in modelling, research or media)

  • Proficient in using Office tools particularly Advanced Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of the media industry, capabilities and key research techniques applied in media research preferable but not essential

  • ​Previous use of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI preferable but not essential
