Holistic Cost Management (HCM) is a strategic priority to fuel PepsiCo’s ambitious growth aspirations. We are driving savings through HCM to reinvest to win in the marketplace by following some key guiding principles (thinking holistically, externally focused to win, ingrained in the culture to drive adoption). Starting 2020 and for coming years, we will drive our HCM program on three tracks.

  • Build Cost Management Center of Excellence to assemble intimate knowledge of cost base, provide visibility, share learnings and best practices; and guide and enable HCM efforts
  • Drive a robust portfolio of cost capabilities. Six core planks defined, with significant progress on key capabilities. Key to ensure progress and deliver results on in-flight capabilities and to launch key new capabilities.Ingrain HCM as part of our culture through reinforcing operating model, communication, tracking
The Sr Director Cost CoE role will be integral in building HCM as a critical capability for Pepsico by leading the CoE and creating a new critical capability for PepsiCo. This role will lead to a small central team and work closely with functional experts in the global functions and with key stakeholders in the markets/sectors. This role will drive the integration and development of intimate knowledge of our cost structure; Conduct deep-dive reviews of cost structure for key markets; Incorporate relevant external perspective through benchmarks; Lead a team to conduct diagnostics / identify and prioritize opportunities to manage cost and drive performance; define a roadmap to reset cost structure in key markets; ensure execution and adoption while ensuring success and ROI by ongoing tracking of adoption.

  • Lead development of Cost Management capability for PepsiCo
  • Build and concentrate intimate knowledge of cost base and external benchmarks to provide visibility and enable management of holistic cost base
  • Lead effort with key markets to integrate comprehensive cost data by working closely with markets to collect, interpret cost data/economics
  • Lead identification of material cost opportunities for markets through diagnostics
  • Lead development of the vision of target cost structure for key markets and guide path with a robust action plan
  • Codify process and analytical tools to be able to replicate and scale in additional markets to establish cost capabilities
  • Guide and enable deployment of a portfolio of cost capabilities


  • Minimum 10 years’ experience; Mix of finance, planning, strategy and transformation roles
  • Experience across markets/sectors
  • Insight into business and performance levers
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders within the organization and across multiple functions
  • Ability to influence others at all levels and effectively empower and delegate across multiple project teams
  • High level of business acumen: must be commercially savvy with outstanding analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence in order to drive action
  • High level of leadership and strategic acumen
  • A mix of deep questioning / inquisitive style with a collaborative style that builds trust. Ability to be both challenging & enabling and comfortable managing conflict
