The main purpose of this position is to review IT programs and release calendars, pre-slot projects, create preliminary release lists, and create deployment plans.
The position coordinates program and release reviews and change approvals for Europe release calendars (SAP and other technologies), ensuring successful end to end execution and delivery of releases across all applicable teams.
Defines and improves environment management processes
Coordinate SAP and other projects within a release including reviews and change approvals
Identifies opens and escalates issues as appropriate.
Manage risks, impacts and potential conflicts of change for the planned releases including exceptions for SAP environments
Guardrail service management standards (e.g., ITIL)
Governs release compliance and quality (e.g., facilitating adherence to the guardrails for stage gates)
Facilitates stage gates, guardrails and ongoing planning/status meetings for project releases
Facilitates approval and delivery of non-Release change to the SAP projects landscape
Reviews the final project portfolio for the environments for conflicts
Deliver SAP and non SAP environment calendars with freezes, refreshes and availability, including a 3 year draft
Conducts weekly release meeting in order to deliver cross-project status
Coordinates design reviews and stage gates. Facilitates milestone deliveries
Ensures Europe projects participation in design and test review
Resolves issues between Europe projects & other project teams in the same release
Ensures system, user acceptance test (UAT) and regression test are being performed across a project release
Defines and creates SAP TCO strategy and detailed planning
No formal people management responsibilities
Will support a team largely based in Europe
PMI certification (nice to have)
Knowledge and experience in following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP Solution Manager, SAP Charm, Service Now, Microfocus ALM tools, CPG industry experience, project implementation and production support experience
