EHS Business Continuity, Compliance & Regulations Manager

Main Purpose -
To ensure business continuity, it is necessary to have a management system that allows us to comply with legal requirements as well as the PEPSICO - GEHSMS standards. The manager must ensure the highest standards of performance in operations, have licenses to operate in place, and have a record keeping system that allows us to operate with the highest service standards.
The digitalization of the processes will allow us to have visibility of the risks as well as to improve agility in decision making in the area of environmental sustainability, safety and occupational health.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide direction and expertise to operations management to ensure that all Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory and PepsiCo Corporate requirements are met across LatAm.
  • Develop, implement and sustain the organization specific policies, procedures, programs and training to achieve and maintain compliance with Pepsico’s Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (GEHSMS) standards and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations as pertains to the safety, health, and productivity of workers and environmental impact of the organization’s operations.
  • Lead EHS and Sustainability end to end digital transformation program portfolio that drives agile change across functions and business units.
  • Centralize Environmental Sustainability, Health, Safety and Compliance information systems and its related processes across LatAm Value Chain to ensure proper risk management and tracking.
  • Provide an innovation environment to enable rapid cycles of development, testing and implementation of Environmental Sustainability, Health, Safety and Compliance new solutions to ensure proper implementation of tools and information systems.
  • Lead FM Global Human Element implementation including fire/explosion safety, natural hazards and emergency response to ensure business continuity across LatAm facilities
  • Lead and Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety inspections and audits in manufacturing plants, warehouses, fleet, distribution centers, farms, wastewater treatment plants and offices across LatAm to identify and analize potential worker safety risks and environmental impacts and provide measures to mitigate them in accordance with local laws and corporate strategy.
  • Lead ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 / GEHSMS Multi-sites Certification across LatAm operations.
  • Manage the maintenance and implementation of ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System, including but not limited to; overseeing the establishment and review of Occupational Health and Safety risk assessments, monitoring records of actions taken and risk mitigation progress.
  • Manage the maintenance and implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System; overall responsibility for the development and implementation of a comprehensive environmental compliance and environmental risk mitigation program for all segments of the company value chain.
  • Lead an Environmental Management system including Life Cycle process to identify environmental risks and impacts in the whole value chain.



  • 5 years + of experience in EHS.
  • Effective networking skills in a multi-country, multi BU, multi function region.
  • Deep knowledge of EHS regulations, EHS Management Systems (GEHSMS) and EHS audits and ISO standards and protocols for Injury and Illness Record keeping.
  • Deep knowledge in ISO 14001:2004/ ISO 45001:2018 and their applicability. Internal Auditor certification desirable.
