Job Description

The Data Lead will play a key role within the project; reporting into the overall Business Lead and leading +15 team members across the PGT W2 Markets.
Will be responsible for managing the preparation and high quality conversion of data for ‘go live’ whilst establishing a robust process to maintain high quality data thereafter, and will work collaboratively with other project leads and wider IT Data and Delivery teams to ensure the objectives are successfully met.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for successfully and sustainably implementing the data elements of the new Global Template harmonised processes and data for all work streams in the first wave markets as at target date, go live and sustainably thereafter.

  • Cover customer, supplier and product master data in S4 Hana and transition from Legacy systems. Support the work streams in other data management, conversion and validation of other value stream data objects.

  • Support business readiness reviews as functional expert and be the functional point of contact for all

  • Support sprints to introduce and actively participate in the demo as functional expert, ensuring the functional outputs are taken through to resolution; to the standards of the Global Template Design Authority and ‘wave’ 2 Markets

  • Lead data conversion activities (validation, cleansing, identify omissions, fill gaps, eliminate duplicates and mapping) to ensure valid and accurate data by target data with business sign offs and support data cut over activities

  • Lead all Data training and support change management for Value Stream Teams, first wave markets and DMO set up

  • Lead set up effective future governance and data ownership to maintain Global Template processes and legacy data in first wave markets

  • Share functional best practice and learnings to benefit future markets

  • Provide regular updates to the project leadership on Time/Cost/Quality risks and mitigations

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Very strong Data knowledge, including conversion, extraction, and ongoing governance & management 

  • Positive, resilient and motivated to change and simplify processes 

  • Ability to perform and prioritise under pressure  

  • Meticulous and organised  

  • Commercially minded and a passion to take others with you  

  • Experience of project work and/or implementing change management in a multinational environment 

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to move forward or seek answers regardless  

  • Hunger and Drive to succeed and challenge stakeholders to ensure best practice 


    Desirable:

  • Experience in implementing Data Governance Workflow tools into a business environment

  • SAP S4 Hana Data management experience

  • Knowledge of a FMCG process in your functional area

  • Experience with agile processes
