Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) is PepsiCo’s beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States and Canada. This position will be part of the North America Beverage organization.
Job Description:
This role leads a collaborative partnership with Stop and Shop Headquarters. The employee would establish advantaged partnerships, and deliver key commercial objectives including all topline metrics of volume, revenue, dead net price, margin and share. Plans should be achieved quarterly and annually.
Key Relationships:
• Builds strong working relationships with customer decision-makers at all levels and fosters a sustainable competitive advantage
• Communicates customer plans to appropriate cross-functional teams in a concise and timely fashion
• Collaborates with cross-functional and cross-divisional business partners to identify and address strategic selling opportunities to deliver annual volume, profit, and share plans
• Engages and aligns Field Sales Teams around customer business plans such as period communication packets, annual operating plan (AOP) rollout, and customer direction
• Partners with Category Management Teams to gain insight and develop business-building opportunities
• Partners with Production Teams to ensure forecast accuracy
• Communicates effectively with stakeholders across the organization to gain support, maintain focus, and take action.
Accountabilities:
• Owns joint business plan (JBP) development and execution
• Sets and executes commercial strategies to achieve financial and customer objectives
• Provides influence into the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic business plan (SBP)
• Influences PEP Sales and business partners (Franchise bottlers) to ensure flawless execution against customer plans to drive local agenda
• Develops, executes, and maintains wiring strategies, both internally and with customer leadership
• Delivers against key business and financial metrics annually
• Engages and aligns Field Sales Teams around customer business plans
• Participates in all areas of business planning (e.g., forecasting, internal and external communication, reporting, financial accounting, customer service)
• Sells innovative ideas, concepts, and programs
• Builds successful plans and effectively manages an accrual-based trade system
• Conducts business reviews with customers to review the current state of the business and future opportunities as well as to align on future activities/goals
• Contributes to joint business plan (JBP) development and execution
• Develops, executes, and maintains wiring strategies, both internally and with customer leadership
• Leverages insights and data to craft stories and unlock profitable volume on business
• Leverages trade spend to maximize return on investment (ROI)
• Facilitates periodic internal and external customer planning and execution meetings
• Activates local marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
• Communicates account-specific execution plans to Front Line Teams
• Performs ongoing cross-functional forecasting and demand planning
• Ensures smooth and prompt resolving of customer complaints
• Influences and executes commercial strategies to achieve financial and customer objectives
• Delivers against AOP targets
• Manages consistent operational growth through given key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g., financial targets, space targets, share targets, display targets)
• Performs periodic market visits
• Effectively participates in all areas of business planning (e.g., forecasting, internal and external communication, reporting, financial accounting, administration)
• Sells innovative ideas, concepts, and programs
• Builds successful plans and effectively manages an accrual-based trade system
• Manages trade spend and forecast accuracy
• Conducts business reviews with customers to review the current state of the business and future opportunities as well as to align on future activities and goals

Qualifications/Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years of fact-based selling experience
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
• Consumer packaged goods experience
• Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs. periodically
• This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
• Must have a valid drivers license
