Feed Mill Operator IV Job Classification & Requirements
The purpose of the Seasonal Feed Mill Operator IV team member is Multi Equipment Operations IE: Wet Section Operations, Dry Section, Dryer Section, and Evaporator Section also assisting with general clean-up. The following is required of the Feed Mill Operator IV team member.
 
Equipment Operations Pellet Mills, Dryers, Evaporators required 60 % of job task.
Documentation and Record keeping 20 % of job task.
PIT Operation IE: Forklift, Skid Steer Loader, Pay Loader required 10 % of job task.
Assisting with general cleanup of feed mill operations including emptying waste rotary screen hoppers required 10 % of job task.
Adhering to all feed mill R.A.C.P & H.A.C.C.P. quality standards.
Adhering to all feed mill safety policies and procedures.
Performing quality checks of cattle feed IE: Dryer Section, Dry Section, Railcars, and Trucks.
Moderate lifting and shoveling required 50 lbs.
Assisting with general every day Feed Mill Operations
Demonstrate all steps to start running feed to Warehousing & Loading
Demonstrate all steps for shutting down running feed to Warehouse & Loading
Identifying all operations that supply Wet Section, Dry Section, Dryer Section, Evaporator Section and Warehouse & Loading
Demonstrate Operation of controls, screws, conveyors supplying Wet Section, Dry Section, Dryer Section, Evaporator Section, and Warehouse & Loading
Demonstrate Operation of Wet Section, Dry Section, Dryer Section, and Evaporator Section.
Demonstrate how to start Wet Section, Dry Section, Dryer Section, Evaporator Section and Warehouse and loading.
Demonstrate how to load and scale trucks.
Demonstrate how to perform a rail car switch.
Demonstrate how to obtain a feed sample from Dryer Section, Dry Section and Rail Cars & Trucks
Demonstrate safe operation of PIT, IE: Payloader, Skid Steer Loader, Forklift
Demonstrate how to operate truck scales.
Demonstrate how to fill truck loading hopper.
Demonstrate how to load trucks.
Demonstrate how to inspect Rail Cars & Trucks for cleanness and damage.
High School Diploma or GED
